Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions from Guests that wish to create their first character:

Q: What makes you different from other places?
A: We are the only vampire-focused MUSH around as we focus solely on the Vampire Sphere. Furthermore we have a strong focus on story and cooperative roleplay.

Q: I don't really know anything about 'Vampire'. Is this required?
A: We are based on 2nd edition Vampire the Masquerade from White Wolf. However, this MUSH is entirely self-contained. Everything you need to know about our setting and system is available in our +news and +help files.
In addition we work with lores that detail what your character knows IC.
For those familiar with White Wolf it is important to note that our game is not WW-canon and deviates significantly from the original setting.

Q: How active are you, and when are most players on?
A: Our players and Staffers cover all timezones, although EST and PST are covered best: Please refer to MUSH-MUX List for an objective overview.

Q: What kind of characters do you need?
A: You can play a mortal and/or a (Neonate) vampire of a Camarilla Clan. As long as your concept is in line with our setting and background, we like you to play a character that you enjoy most. However, due to our focus on vampire, we strongly advice you play a vampire (next to any mortals you would want). When you are looking to fill a special opening you may refer to the Casting Call BBS.

Q: How long does it take to create a character?
A: Our CharGen process is automated and an experienced player should be able to create a complete character within 1-2 hours. When you're new, or looking for a Feature concept you will need a little longer. After you finished your character it needs to be approved by the Architects. Depending on your Architect's availability and the amount of changes that need to be made, it generally takes between 1 hour and 3 days before you are approved.
